Lee Fields initially made his fame among die-hard funk fans with a series of hard-hitting singles recorded because antidote to various small labels for the period of the '70s. Everything in various places Fields — his aspect, his vocals, the grooves ~ward his records — was in this way under obligation to James Brown that he earned the nickname "Little J.B." Fields not at any time hit it big, but his unfashioned-and-turn over singles went on to be appropriate to favorite collectors' items.
