Von Hagens is famed for using donated human bodies in his 'plastinated' works, and the just discovered piece was made by injecting mellifluous plastic into bones and blood vessels, from a compute of donors' bodies, which then hardens to call into existence perfect casts. The resulting figure, what one. does not contain any human network, was then mounted on a woody cross cut from a tree felled about to happen von Hagens' family home in Germany.
